Today we traveled to Ledyard HS to watch 3 contending teams. Foran came to impress with a 52 to 26 win over #10 Guilford. While Guilford was missing a few studs, in this sport you go to battle with the team that shows up. Today Foran showed why they should never be counted out. Coach Esposito made sure we knew that as well. Great job team on two solid wins.
One of the day’s highlights, Ledyard’s young stud, Lukas Boxley, bumped up to 126 to challenge Guilford’s state place winner Dante Bilskis, #14 ranked 126 pounder. Got the pin in the first period. Keep an eye on this kid!
The anticipated heavy-weight match of the day had #9 Ranked Logan Murphy from Guilford vs Unranked but, very solid Foran heavy-weight, Jagger Rees. Murphy squeaked out a tight win by maintaining top position in the third to win 2-1.
